A new survey from American Research Group shows former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney with a seven point lead over former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum. Romney gets 31 percent, Gingrich and Santorum see 24 percent and Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) gets 9 percent.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman are tied at 2 percent. Perry considered dropping out after a poor finish in Iowa, but instead continued on to South Carolina, while Huntsman has spent nearly all his time in New Hampshire. So the fact that they are tied is not the best news for the Perry campaign.
