‘App Developers Union’ Launches Ahead Of WWDC

A new website was launched anonymously on Thursday claiming to represent discontented third-party software developers that make applications for Apple’s App Store. The “App Developers Union,” is a bare-bones website that accuses Apple of “not taking care of their ecosystem of developers” and features two videos and a list of three demands, including that Apple reduce its 30 percent cut of all app sales. The move comes just ahead of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), an Apple-hosted confab for developers scheduled for June 11 through 15 in San Francisco.
