AP: Record Number Of Military Suicides In 2012

A record 349 suicides occurred in the U.S. military in 2012, the Associated Press reported Monday.

2011 also saw a record number of suicides — 164 — among active-duty soldiers, National Guard and Reserve troops, according to the New York Times. In 2010, that number was 159. In 2009, it was 162.
