The hacking collective ‘Anonymous’ has reportedly struck the Chinese government. On Thursday Several Chinese government news sites including that of Chengdu, a provincial capital, were taken over by ‘Anonymous’ to protest Chinese internet censorship. Visitors to the Anonymous-occupied websites received instructions on how to avoid Chinese firewalls. The group also left messages of protest aimed at Chinese authorities.

“Dear Chinese government, you are not infallible, today websites are hacked, tomorrow it will be your vile regime that will fall,” the message read. “So expect us because we do not forgive, never. What you are doing today to your Great People, tomorrow will be inflicted to you,”
