New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a top Democratic presidential contender in 2016, plans to write a memoir to be released next year, CNN reported Tuesday.

The yet-untitled memoir, announced by publisher Harper Collins on Tuesday, will start with the Democrat’s upbringing in Queens and detail the influence of his father Mario Cuomo, who also served as New York governor. He’ll also discuss his government service as the U.S. housing secretary, and as the Empire State’s attorney general and governor, according to a release.

He’ll delve into some of his high-profile decisions in Albany, like signing a same-sex marriage law and enacting strict new gun control measures.

Hillary Clinton is also set to release a memoir in 2014 about her tenure as secretary of state.

The New York Times first reported Cuomo’s book deal Monday.
