A new poll of the Alabama Republican presidential primary from the Alabama Education Association’s Capital Survey Research Center shows former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney with a ten point lead. Romney gets 31.2 percent of the total, while former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum sees 21.6, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich with 21 and Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is at 6.5. The poll was conducted March 1st to the 5th, before Super Tuesday.

Another poll from Alabama State University showed Santorum with a slight lead, but the pollster didn’t include Paul in the horse race question, and it showed about half of GOP voters as undecided.
