Al Sharpton has given lots of catnip to New York City’s tabloids over the years.

But this week put things over the top. The Post and Daily News each gave Sharpton front page billing on Wednesday, a day after the civil rights activist insisted he was no FBI informant.

“I was not and am not a rat, because I wasn’t with the rats. I’m a cat. I chase rats,” Sharpton said at a press conference.

The Daily News actually depicted Sharpton as a feline.

The Post didn’t play dress up, instead taking a more understated route and dubbing Sharpton “Big Pussy.”
