Akin Website Still Features Image Of Democratic Tracker As Supporter

A day after Todd Akin’s Senate campaign pulled down a version of its Women for Akin site following the revelation that one of the women featured on the page was actually a Democratic tracker, an image of Akin standing next to the tracker was found on another section of the Akin website.

On Tuesday, the Akin campaign told reporters the image of Democratic tracker Corinne Matti — who’s been following the Akin campaign for the Missouri Democratic Party — was a slip-up, and the Women for Akin page featuring an image of her was a draft page not ready for public consumption.

But the image of Akin and Matti also appears on the Akin campaign’s Volunteer page.

The Akin campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Below is a screengrab of the Akin page featuring Matti:
