After entering its eight hour, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)’s filibuster of John Brennan as CIA director continued on Wednesday.

Paul asked for the Senate to vote on a non-binding resolution stipulating opposition to the use of drones in the United States. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL), who was present in the chamber, objected. Instead, he offered Paul an opportunity to testify at a hearing on drone warfare to be held in the near future. Not satisfied, a visibly tired Paul resumed his filibuster late Wednesday night.
