51.4 Million Watched Vice Presidential Debate

The only vice presidential debate between Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan drew an estimated 51.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen. The 2008 debate between then Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and then Sen. Joe Biden drew over 18 million more viewers. More than 26 million viewers who tuned in on Thursday were age 55 and over.
