Apple has won the right to temporarily block Samsung from selling its Galaxy Tab 10.1in all of Europe except for the Netherlands, according to multiple news reports.

Funnily enough, market research group Forrester Research issued a report Monday saying that Apple’s rivals might have a better time selling their tablets in Europe if they cut their prices. Apple has a smaller footprint across Europe than in the United States.

The world’s most powerful technology company is suing Samsung for infringing upon its patents around the world with its smart phones and tablets.

Apple’s latest win, in a court in Dusseldorf, Germany, comes after the company arrived at an agreement with Samsung not to sell the tablet in Australia, where it has also filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the South Korean company. Apple first sued Samsung for patent infringement over the Galaxy Tab tablet in April in the United States. It has also filed suit against Samsung in South Korea.

Apple still dominates the tablet market after launching it a year-and-a-half ago. Reuters reports that it has sold almost 30 million iPads so far.

Samsung started selling the Android-based Galaxy Tab in the U.S. this June.

Institutions such as the University of Southern Mississippi have already signed up to use the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to pilot teaching programs, and Samsung is aggressively marketing its tablet at events such as the BlogHer conference that took place earlier this week.
