Rick Perry’s campaign launched a new attack ad Thursday underscoring Mitt Romney’s inconsistent messages on healthcare and immigration.

The ad is called “Misleading” and features a full minute of Romney flip-flops. Viewers are treated to a Romney appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” in which he says he’d apply the Massachusetts healthcare law to the rest of the United States. The ad later cuts to a recent debate performance where Romney denies having ever suggested expanding Romneycare nationwide.

The new spot tracks like a best-hits list of Perry attacks on the Romney camp. From tweaking the former Massachusetts governor on job creation to stripping quotes from his book to accusing him of collaborating with the Obama administration, Perry pulls out all the tricks from his playbook he’s used in the last few weeks.

Smartly, Perry also latches on to Romney’s highly quotable moment during Tuesday night’s debate in which Romney said he’d fired his illegal immigrant lawnmowers because he was “running for office, for Pete’s sake.”

Perry’s latest attack comes on the heels of Romney pulling his own anti-Perry ad Wednesday night for unexplained reasons. Early Thursday, Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul explained in an e-mail that they removed the video after CNN issued objections to having its footage featured in the ad.

But Perry’s ad also uses CNN reels. Whether CNN will also ask the Perry camp to take the video down remains to be seen.
