On Tuesday, Sam Stein reported on a mysterious robocall calling on voters across the country to draft Hillary Clinton to run for president next year.

Wednesday, TPM reader M.S. from Wheaton, Maryland shared the version of the call he received on his answering machine Tuesday. You can listen to it below:

The call directs the recipients to RunHillary2012.net, a barebones site that Stein reported is hard to trace:

[T]here is essentially no solid information about the group. [Anti-robocall advocate Shaun] Dakin notes that there is no “electronic trail.” The website, RunHillary2012.net, has been registered by proxy, and the robocalls have no caller identification.

For her part, Clinton has denied again and again any interest in running against President Obama next year. She has said suggested she’ll leave her current post as Secretary of State when Obama’s first term ends.

Stein reports the strange robocalls are popping up in “New York, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Colorado.”
