Desperate for attention?

In support of Jon Huntsman’s long-shot campaign for president his daughters have new Web video out, satirizing a recent Herman Cain video. But instead of a top Cain aide, with a distinctive mustachioed look, we instead have Huntsman’s three daughters — donning fake mustaches.

The Cain video, of course, featured chief of staff Mark Block extolling the virtues of his boss — and then taking a hit off a cigarette as techno music with a woman’s voice declared “I Am America!” The video then cut to a close-up of a (slowly) smiling Herman Cain.

Throughout Huntsman’s campaign his daughters have billed themselves as the “Jon 2012 Girls.” In the video they imitate the monotone voice, head-shaking and other body language that Block exhibited, while also appealing to voters to pick a candidate based on substance, not sound bites.

“We are shamelessly promoting our dad — like no other candidate’s family ever has. But then again, no one’s ever seen a trio like the Jon 2012 Girls.”

Instead of smoking when the techno music comes in, though, they stand in a line together and all blow soap bubbles.

Huntsman’s campaign told CNN that they didn’t have a part in making the video.

Ed note: This post has been corrected from an earlier version which said the video was the campaign’s, and not exclusively the work of Huntsman’s daughters.
