With Veterans Day coming up this week, Democrats are accusing Republicans of blocking legislation that would help ex-soldiers find work in a new TV ad set to run in battleground states.

The 30-second spot, titled “Obama: Put Veterans To Work,” features an unemployed veteran discussing his difficulties securing a job and notes that Obama’s proposed American Jobs Act includes tax breaks for companies that hire returning military who have been out of work for six months or longer. It also notes that the bill is paid for by “asking millionaires and corporations to pay their fair share.”

According to a spokesman for the DNC, the ad is slated to run Ohio, New Mexico, and North Carolina. It comes as the Senate is getting set to vote on the veterans portion of the AJA, which is being spun off into a separate bill.
