The White House gives the readout on the afternoon’s multilateral meetings on day one of the Middle East peace talks in Washington:

After a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Obama went one-on-one with President Abbas. Then Obama and Abbas brought in their delegations. According to the White House, the U.S. delegation included:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
Rahm Emanuel, Chief of Staff
General James Jones, Nation Security Advisor
George Mitchell, Special Envoy for Middle East Peace
Dennis Ross, Senior Director for Central Region
David Hale, Deputy Special Envoy for Middle East Peace
Dan Shapiro, Senior Director for the Middle East and North Africa

Following that meeting, President Obama met with King Abdullah of Jordan and then both sides’ delegations met. The White House identified the U.S. delegation for this meeting as:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

George Mitchell, Special Envoy for Middle East Peace
