I don't want to seem naive about the existence of workplace violence or male on female violence. But I would simply assume that at such a high echelon of power -- two sitting Justices -- the high threat of exposure would be sufficient to keep things in line. But apparently not.
Indeed, this wasn't the first time things have gotten out of control. Last year Prosser exploded at Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson, calling her a "bitch" and threatening to "destroy her." Prosser agreed he may have overreacted but assured the public that the outburst was warranted.
It's important to note that Justice David Prosser has now denied the charge of Justice Ann Walsh Bradley. Or rather, he's sort of denied it. Prosser he claims that Bradley physically attacked him and in the course of her attack his hands ended up throttling her neck. So make of that what you will.
