Just out from NBC/WSJ/Marist, three new state polls.
Florida: Obama 48, Romney 47
Ohio: Obama 51, Romney 45
Virginia: Romney 48, Obama 47
On balance, in the context of the last week, those aren’t bad numbers for Obama. There’s significant tightening. And, to be comfortable, Team Obama really wants Virginia. But the critical thing is Ohio. If Obama’s lead holds up in Ohio, he remains in the driver’s seat nationwide.
These polls were taken Sunday through Tuesday. So entirely after the debate but also after the first rush of Romney’s debate surge had started to subside.
