Fascinating article about how Republican Reps and Senators plan to respond to questions constituent service requests about Obamacare. The gist is most plan to say, ‘Hey, go ask Obama.’

Some great examples.

“Given that we come from Kansas, it’s much easier to say, ‘Call your former governor,'” said Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R), referring to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

“You say, ‘She’s the one. She’s responsible. She was your governor, elected twice, and now you reelected the president, but he picked her.'” Huelskamp said.

“We know how to forward a phone call,” said Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah).

Given everything that’s happened over the last four years, this isn’t exactly surprising. After all, after passage, a Supreme Court sign off, and the reelection of the President who passed the law, Republicans are still threatening to shutdown the government over Obamacare and are organizing a public campaign to convince people now eligible for health care insurance not to get it. But it’s only unsurprising because we’ve been living in the anti-Obamacare alternate universe for so long.

But simple denial of constituent service seems to take it to a genuinely new level.
