Last night I wrote about the amazing story of the paramilitaries from Bulletproof Securities in Scottsdale, Arizona and how they’ve scarred the crap out of the good people of northern Wisconsin. Now, after looking at Bulletproof Securities and their purported private army run out of a real estate office I was sort of suspicious if they have quite the firepower or quite the range of clients they claim to.

I also flagged this image from the website which illustrates their supposed ability to mount Quick Reaction Force operations even in the most difficult alpine settings.

But TPM Reader CO says this isn’t quite what it seems …

That “alpine mountain armored vehicle” (“Rent-a-Paramilitaries Freak Out Wisconsin“) is a repurposed Tucker Sno-Cat ski trail groomer. I’m guessing they picked it up on Craigslist and took a couple cans of spray paint to it.

Does anybody know the trail grooming world and can identify this piece of quality military hardware? Or is it possibly for high stakes snow grooming under fire?
