In what is certain to be a presidential campaign dogged by the politics of race and the legacy of the Civil Rights Era, likely presidential candidate and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R) has now draw a line in the sand. Notwithstanding his earlier walk-back of praise of the White Citizens Councils, he says he’s now out of the ‘denouncing’ business altogether.
