The abduction and captivity of those three women in Cleveland now seems to have been a good deal more sickening and awful than we might have imagined — and that’s saying a lot since it already seemed pretty awful.

One of those sources tells the Investigator Tom Meyer that the captors would beat the pregnant girls. Both sources say the babies didn’t survive.
Calls to the Cleveland Police Department were not immediately returned.
The sources say it is unclear what happened following the pregnancies.
The reference to multiple ‘captors’ would seem to be a reference to Ariel Castro, the man whose home the women were kept in and his two brothers who were also arrested yesterday.
The article also notes that investigators found ‘disturbed dirt’ in the backyard of the house, seemingly hinting at possible makeshift burials.
