This Perry is stupid video strikes me as a pretty bad idea for Mitt Romney. If there is one thing that makes Republican voters completely batty, its the idea that someone, somewhere thinks that they may be smarter than they are. Its at the core of their politics-as-resentment approach to everything. So Mitt Romney coming along and using CNN and MSNBC as backup for the idea that another Republican is kind of a dumbass seems to reinforce an image that is already dangerously supercilious and condescending.
