Report: Hillary Clinton To Call Netanyahu
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will reportedly speak with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an effort to ease the diplomatic feud between the two countries that has come in the wake of an announcement of settlement expansion that came during Vice President Biden’s visit to Israel. The call could come as early as today.

Obama’s Day Ahead
President Obama will receive the presidential daily briefing at 9:30 a.m. ET, and the economic daily briefing at 10 a.m. ET. He will meet at 10:45 a.m. ET with Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Brian Cowen. He will deliver remarks at 12:35 p.m. ET, at Speaker Pelosi’s Friends of Ireland Luncheon. The President and First Lady will host a St. Patrick’s Day reception at 7:25 p.m. ET.

Biden’s Day Ahead
Vice President Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden are hosting an 8:30 a.m. ET St. Patrick’s Day breakfast at the Naval Observatory, which will also be attended by Irish Taoiseach Brian Cowen and Mrs. Mary Cowen. He will join President Obama’s meeting with Cowen at 10:45 a.m. ET. He will also attend Speaker Pelosi’s Friends of Ireland Luncheon at 12:35 p.m. ET. Later, he will introduce President Obama at the 7:25 p.m. ET St. Patrick’s Day reception. At 8:30 p.m. ET, Biden will deliver remarks at the Radio and Television Correspondents Association Dinner.

Hoyer: ‘We Think We’ll Have The Votes When The Roll Is Called’
Appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) said about the upcoming health care vote: “On every major piece of legislation we passed over the last year … we said we think we do [have the votes] and yes we did. We think we’ll have the votes when the roll is called.”

Stakes Are High For Parliamentarian
The Associated Press reports on the political pressures confronting Senate Parliamentarian Alan Frumin, who faces an intense level of scrutiny on his procedural decisions for the health care debate. Frumin’s predecessor Bob Dove had this to say: “I foresee a very miserable period for him.”

Senate Dems To Hold Caucus Meeting On Health Care
Roll Call reports that Senate Democrats will hold a special caucus meeting today on health care reform, at 12:30 p.m. ET. A senior Democratic aide told the paper that the meeting is not intended to provide Senators with a Congressional Budget Office cost estimate, but is instead an “update” for members on where the leaders are in the process.

Michelle Obama Talks Anti-Obesity To Food Companies
First Lady Michelle Obama spoke to the Grocery Manufacturers Association on Tuesday, as part of her anti-obesity campaign. “We need you not to just tweak around the edges but entirely rethink the products you are offering, the information that you provide about these products, and how you market those products to our children,” she said.
