Stephen Colbert will host a pair of fundraisers this month on behalf of Elizabeth Colbert Busch, the sister of the satirist who is running for Congress in South Carolina.

According to invitations obtained by Politico, the first fundraiser will be held April 15 in Washington, D.C. Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Debbie Wasserman Schultz are among the co-hosts for the Washington fundraiser.

A minimum donation of $2,600 is required in order for guests to attend the private reception at the Washington gathering, Politico reported. General admission tickets will cost $500. The second fundraiser is scheduled to be held April 23 at the New York City of former investment banker Sallie Krawcheck.

Colbert Busch claimed the Democratic nomination last month for the special election in South Carolina’s First Congressional District. She will likely square off with former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R), who is expected to survive a run-off Tuesday against Republican Curtis Bostic.

Recent polls have shown Colbert Busch more than holding her own against Sanford. An internal poll from the Colbert Busch campaign surfaced on Monday showing her with a narrow lead over Sanford. And Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling released a survey last month that likewise showed a Colbert Busch with a small edge. The special election is scheduled to be held May 7.
