The Republican National Committee raised $6.3 million in November and has $8.74 million cash on hand.
Party officials say the RNC, with no debt, “averaged 2,352 new donors per day and by the end of November the RNC broke its own record of total new donors for an off election year.”
Chairman Mike Steele said he was proud of the numbers and grateful for fundraising in tough economic times.
“It is clear that the Republican message of lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, and common-sense conservative health care reform resonates with Americans alarmed by the course President Obama and Congressional Democrats have taken over the last 10 months,” Steele said. “As we move closer to the 2010 elections, our solid fundraising will enable the RNC to provide Republican candidates and state parties throughout the country the financial resources needed to win on Election Day.”
The RNC raised $8.79 million in October, and $8.74 million in September.
A Democratic official tells TPMDC the Democratic National Committee raised
$5.7 million in November, bringing the year-to-date total to $72 million. They have $13 million cash on hand.

The RNC spent more than everyone else in November, upwards of $2.5 million.
