In a new ad, Rand Paul is lashing out at Jack Conway for bringing up questions about Paul’s alleged days as a prankster while a student at Baylor University.
“What kind of shameful politician would sink this low to bear false witness against another man, just to win an election?” the ad’s narrator says. “This one would: Jack Conway.”

At last night’s barn-burner Kentucky Senate debate, Paul, the Republican nominee, said Conway was questioning his Christian faith. Conway says Paul’s alleged history of “mocking Christianity” and asking a woman “to kneel before a false idol called Aqua Buddha” while a student at Baylor “raises questions.”
In the new spot, Paul answers neither charge, but makes no bones about his own spiritual allegiances.
“Rand Paul keeps Christ in his heart,” the ad’s narrator says, “and in the life he shares with his wife and his three boys.”
