President Obama got a little testy with Congress during Wednesday’s nationally-televised press conference in the East Room of the White House.

Congressional Republicans recently forced Obama to take a direct hand in the debt limit negotiations he had put Vice President Biden in charge of. Asked about the risks of default and the August deadline for those talks, Obama got testy with Congressional foot-dragging on getting a debt deal done.

He suggested that Congress stop taking all the breaks it has since the Republicans took over in January and got a little testy with the legislative branch.

“You need to be here,” he told Congress. “I’ve been here. I’ve been doing Afghanistan and bin Laden and the Greek crisis and — you stay here. Let’s get it done.”
