So, Chen escaped his state oppressors during a high-profile U.S. diplomatic trip, Stewart said. "No biggie."
Since Stewart's taping, Chen has accepted a fellowship to study in the U.S. Earlier, he said he wanted to leave China on Clinton's plane and even wanted to "kiss" her.
"I love this guy," Stewart said. "Mom? Can we keep him? Things look pretty good, right? The U.S. looks like a beacon of freedom. China looks slightly more progressive for letting Chen go. And we all get to pretend our iPhones aren't made by slave labor. It's a win-win."
