“What the hell? NBC, you cut out the 911 dispatcher’s question,” Jon Stewart said on Monday. “Zimmerman was answering a multiple-choice question. You make it sound like he was calling 911 to report aggravated blackness.”
The editing also gave the analysts at Fox News an opening to hammer the media for pushing what they claim is a “Trayvon Martin as victim” theme.
But “even when something happens that gives the right high ground, they don’t even keep it for long,” Stewart said. Enter disgraced former New York Times reporter and current Fox News analyst Judith Miller, whose own flawed reporting contributed to the United States’ invasion of Iraq. “Okay now you just blew it,” Stewart said.
