Here are some key fundraising numbers from today:

• State Sen. Tarryl Clark (D-MN), who is seeking the Democratic nomination to run against the vocally right-wing Rep. Michele Bachmann (R), raised over $505,000 in the first quarter. Clark, the officially endorsed candidate of the state Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, must still face a Dem primary against former state university regent Maureen Reed, who was also the 2006 Independence Party nominee for lieutenant governor. Reed has not yet released her fundraising numbers.

• Ex-West Virginia GOP chair David McKinley, who is running in a crowded GOP primary to face Democratic Rep. Alan Mollohan, has reportedly raised nearly $300,000. Ex-state Sen. Sarah Minear (R) raised $272,000, all but $20,000 of it self-financed.

• State Sen. Roy Herron (D-TN), who is running for the open seat of retiring Democratic Rep. John Tanner, raised $490,000 in the first quarter, and has over $1 million in cash-on-hand.

• Farmer and gospel singer Stephen Fincher (R-TN), who is running for the GOP nomination for retiring Democratic Rep. John Tanner’s House seat, has raised over $1 million.
