FCC Chairman Jules Genachowski has been a frequent White House visitor, both before and after getting the job.
His first meeting on Feb. 18, according to the White House visitors logs released today, was several weeks before he was nominated for the job.
He came again Feb. 24 to meet with Pete Rouse.
The day before President Obama nominated him, Genachowski met with both David Axelrod and Valerie Jarret, presidential advisers.
He was nominated March 3.
Genachowski came again on March 18 to meet with White House counsel Greg Craig, and met March 25 with Cass Sunstein. He was there again on April 7, the records show.
He came three times in May – once on May 6 and then at the end of the month for Obama’s event nominating Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court and for a poetry reading in the East Room.
In June, Genachowski was there four times, once for a meeting with Jarret. He was there on July 1 and then was sworn in on July 15.
After assuming the post, he came twice in August, once for a meeting with Axelrod.
