The Democratic Congressional Committee is now raising money off of Sarah Palin’s infamous “death panel” remarks, in a new e-mail sent out this afternoon.
“Now, Sarah Palin is outrageously claiming that Americans ‘would have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel” to receive care,” the e-mail says, emphasis theirs. “While Palin’s attack is a complete fabrication, the GOP is closing ranks to defend these outright lies. Over the weekend, former Speaker Newt Gingrich stood by Palin’s bizarre ‘death panel’ accusation on national TV.”
The e-mail encourages recipients to download a “Health Care Fact Check Card,” the link to which takes them to a donation page along with the card itself. The letter then ends on a more explicit, direct appeal for money.
