Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) says she will vote today with Majority Leader Harry Reid to end the debate on financial reform legislation.
Reid (D-NV) intends to call for a vote to end the debate at 2 p.m. ET, but some Democrats, led by Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-ND), are holding up the legislation unless their own amendments get a floor vote, which Republicans are obstructing.
This means Reid needs 60 votes for cloture in order to end the debate, but as Politico reports, Collins is so far one of the only Republicans to publicly show support for ending the debate.
