MINNEAPOLIS — Andrew Breitbart didn’t talk much about Rep. Anthony Weiner at his RightOnline keynote here Friday night, but the disgraced New York Democrat was never far from his mind.

In a trademark off-the-cuff speech at the conservative answer to Netroots Nation (held for the past four years in the same city and on the same weekend as the progressive confab), Breitbart touched on sex scandals ranging back to Clarence Thomas and Bill Clinton, before hinting at Weiner. Breitbart’s pushing of a lewd picture Weiner inadvertently tweeted publicly led to Weiner’s downfall this week.

The crowd loved it, giving Breitbart a standing ovation when he took the stage. He launched into a long discourse on his view that the Democratic Party, the left and the media are part of one big conspiracy aimed at keeping conservative views from getting a fair shake.

But it was the Weiner scandal everyone wanted to hear about, and near the end, Breitbart gave them their wish.

“I loved every second of it, Congressman Weiner,” Breitbart said.
