Here’s another fun bit from that wacky right-wing questionnaire that Sharron Angle filled out, courtesy of Greg Sargent: She promised not to take contributions from a corporate PAC if the company provides domestic partner benefits to gay employees.

Question 35A asked: “Would you refuse PAC money from those who are fundamentally opposed to your views on social issues?” Angle answered yes. The next question, 35B, asked: “In reference to question 35A, Intel Corporation supports ‘equal rights for gays’ and offers benefits to ‘partners’ of homosexual employees. Would you refuse funds from this corporate PAC?” Angle again answered yes.

So where would Angle draw the line? Does she refuse to buy any personal computer that uses an Intel chip? The fact is, of course, that thanks to the invisible hand of the free market that Angle claims to support, a great many national corporations offer domestic partner benefits in one form or another.

The funniest thing about this questionnaire, though, is its format. It was a series of 40 very leading yes/no questions on right-wing positions, with a “yes” in all cases being the answer the group wanted to hear, followed at the very end by a tiny blank section in which candidates could explain any differences they had. Angle simply checked off “yes” for each one, with no need to fill out any further details. You have to wonder how much time — or thought — she actually put into it.

The TPM Poll Average currently gives Reid a lead of 45.1%-42.7%.
