Already, some GOP candidates hoping to take Marco Rubio's seat in Florida have had to weigh in on Trump's immigration stances. Trump's position could become even more of a potent issue if his former adviser Roger Stone decided to run, as he floated in May.

If we start seeing more radical challengers in the other primaries, and some success there then I think that we really do have to start worrying…. I remember the pundit class was claiming that 2014 showed the Tea Party was losing strength, when I thought the real truth was that the Tea Party ideology had become orthodox.”
