BUZZING: Today in the Hive

From a TPM Prime member: “I think that Clinton is facing an October crunch time with the first debate and the Benghazi hearing. The emails will most certainly come up in both of those high profile events. If all Clinton can do is repeat herself in response, she will “lose” those confrontations and very possibly the campaign. She needs to “win” those high profile events with a defense that makes new news. So repeating the legal defense is the minimum that must be done now and the big put down needs to be held back for those face-to-face Thunderdome events.”

Related: Defense Department officials uncovered an email chain between Hillary Clinton and retired Gen. David Petraeus that was not turned over to the State Department.
