David Kurtz is Managing Editor and Washington Bureau Chief of Talking Points Memo where he oversees the news operations of TPM and its sister sites.

David got his start in journalism as an alt weekly reporter and editor in Louisiana before an extended detour into the practice of law in Missouri. He has been associated with TPM since 2006.

David lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and two children and their Giant Schnauzer.
