Honest question: What would a genuine Richard Mourdock apology for his debate remarks about rape pregnancies look like?
I’m not being arch.
Short of recanting his opposition to a rape exception for abortion bans — a position shared by many Republicans, including the vice presidential nominee — what could Mourdock say that would count as an apology for John McCain and others on both sides of the aisle who are demanding one?
