With Paul Ryan’s arrival on the GOP ticket, the issue of Medicare is front and center in the campaign. Mitt Romney, Ryan and the RNC have wasted no time in trying to inoculate themselves from the coming Democratic onslaught over Ryan’s plan to privatize Medicare by saying that it is in fact President Obama who has cut mercilessly from the insurance program.
