As the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was entitled to give an opening statement at the Petraeus-Crocker hearing this morning:

Sen. Clinton (D-NY) is an Armed Services Committee member as well, so she'll be asking questions along with McCain in this morning's hearing.

This afternoon the scene shifts to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, where committee member Barack Obama (D-IL) gets his turn to query the witnesses.
