The apparently highly-qualified chief counsel of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE, the successor agency to the INS) in El Paso, a Mexican-American woman named Guadalupe Gonzalez was repeatedly passed over for an immigration judgeship in favor of white men who were her subordinates. She's suing Alberto Gonzales for employment discrimination.
